McGill University Health Centre

The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is a network of five teaching hospitals in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, all of which are affiliated with McGill University. It is comprised of:

  • Montreal General Hospital (MGH)
  • Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH)
  • Montreal Children's Hospital (MCH)
  • Montreal Neurological Hospital (MNH)
  • Montreal Chest Institute (MCI)

The MUHC is officially a bilingual institution, providing services in both French and English, as well as a number of other languages, as necessary.

The MUHC is planning on closing its current hospital facilities and replacing them with a "superhospital" at the Glen Yards near Vendôme metro station. This plan has encountered a variety of problems and cost overruns and remains controversial.
