Elections Canada

Elections Canada is the non-partisan agency of the Government of Canada responsible for the conduct of federal elections and referendums. It is an arms length organization that has strong protections against political interference.

Jean-Pierre Kingsley, the Chief Electoral Officer is Canada's best paid civil servant.

Elections Canada's headquarters is in a building at the corner of Bank and Albert St. in downtown Ottawa.

Note that the ridings of the federal government are not shared by the provincial nor territorital governments, except in the province of Ontario.
